About the Event

Make a beautiful peace dove with our easy hand sewing project

Bring along a old tea towel to cut up (make sure it is clean and either ironed or folded flat- not scrunched up)

Peace doves are a lovely simple sewing project - cut out your shapes from tea towel fabric and hand sew them together to create your dove - then we will stuff it with soft toy filling and tuck in dried herbs, flowers and spices before you close up with stitches.... and then the really fun part! embellish them with embroidery and sparkly upcycled treasures!

You will fix a ribbon to your peace dove so you can take it home and hang it in a window so the scent of dried herbs fills the room when the sun warms it up - or add it to your Christmas tree for something beautiful and different.

This class is suitable for all skills levels - you will need to be able to hold a pair of scissors to cut fabric (requires hand strength) and use a sewing needle to sew in a simple straight line.

Ticket price includes the lesson and pattern, soft toy filling and dried herbs, flowers and spices, plus tools and materials to use during class to make and decorate your own dove

You will need to bring along one clean tea towel to cut up and use for your project

AND as always, we supply a generous spread of treats, tea and coffee to feast on while you get creative
