Sew a merit badge
Time & Location
About the Event
Fabric merit badges are a crafty nod to the little stickers you used to get as a child for achieving things like learning to tie your laces, or eating all your peas. But the grown up crafty version is much more rock and roll!
Working with little discs of fabric- you will learn to use embroidery and other techniques to add character and create something that matches your style and personality.
Your badge can be then made into a brooch, a pendant or slip it into your purse and carry it with you!
During the class we will listen to beautiful music, sip delicious fruit infused teas and eat cake while we get creative!
These classes are suitable for all abilities and everyone will be guided to create something wonderful.
If you have attended a swear word embroidery class this is a great next class to try out some more advances stitches. Or, if you have never done anything fancier than sewing on a button before- this is a great project to start with!
All materials are provided and tea, coffee and cake is served on arrival
This class is taught by Emmie Hallett, Wild Learning founder . Emmie has a background in social and community work, arts and music education and is obsessed with craft that uses reclaimed materials!
