About the Event

Bored during isolation? Think this is the perfect time to take up knitting? Well, lets get you stitching!

This craft at home class is online via zoom so you can get stitching without leaving the house

I will step you through all the basics, so this class is perfect for absolute beginners.

We will be knitting a starter square - the perfect little washable cloth to remove your make up, or use as a coaster for your favourite mug of tea!

You probably won't get it finished during class, knitting is a craft that takes time - so we will start and cover all the basic skills and then you can enjoy finishing your project in your own time!

Once you have taken a class, you can join my wild stitchers group to ask questions and share photos!

----

We believe all craft is best done with a good cup of tea (or a cheeky glass of bubbles) and a treat. So prepare for class by setting up a space to watch the video, open your material kit and get your craft snacks ready!

The zoom meeting will open ten minutes before class begins. If you are joining for the first time come in early to say hello and see how it all works.

After the class you will get a video recording of the steps to knit your square which you can watch again anytime you need a refresher :)

*** Please note, material packs are no longer available for this class as we cannot garuntee to get them posted to you in time.

Yarn and needles can be purchased from shops like big W, discount stores, spotlight or lincraft or ask your family and friends, you never know who might have some knitting needles you can use!

MATERIALS REQUIRED:

- A ball of yarn - idealy something simple and smooth (so nothing too textured or bumpy) around 8 ply is good for beginners

- A pair of knitting needles - these can be metal, plastic, wood, long or short. I recommend choosing needles around 3.5 - 5mm thick for beginners, but you can use what ever you have available.

- A pair of scissors

- A device with internet connection and sound to watch the video class on. Don't forget to make sure it is charged!

Class teacher: Emmie
