Make an upcycled fabric wreath
Time & Location
About the Event
Create your own unique wreath from recycled and reclaimed materials!
Bring along two fabric items to cut up and use in your project ( old pillow cases, shirts or shirts, skirts, jeans etc are ideal. Avoid stretchy fabrics as they tend to curl up and are harder to work with)
You will begin by making your wreath base - by wrapping a recycled cardboard base (this is provided) with fabric your recycled fabric torn into ribbons.
You will learn to make fabric roses and ruffles - then let your imagination go WILD as you decorate your wreath using your recycled fabric and contents of our reclaimed buttons, beads and bits box!
This class is suitable for all skills levels - you will need to be able to hold a pair of scissors and cut fabric (requires hand strength) and use a sewing needle and glue safely (so not suitable for small children)
Ticket price includes the lesson, a cardboard frame and access to the buttons, beads and bits stash
You will need to bring along two pieces of fabric to cut up during the class and you are welcome to bring your own buttons or old jewellery to use in your project.
AND as always, a generous spread of treats, tea and coffee to feast on while you get creative
