About the Event

Learn to make a floor rug or basket from recycled fabric!

First you will learn how to turn your bed sheet into 'yarn' by cleverly cutting the fabric into continuous strips and winding it into a ball.

Then you will learn to work with a huge crochet hook to make a thick, sturdy floor mat or durable basket!

During the class you will begin making the centre and structure of your project and you can take home the hook to keep working on your piece until it is any size you like!

You will need to bring along:

-a sharp pair of scissors and

a large bed sheet to cut up - double/queen/king size sheet

It doesn't matter what type of sheet as flat, fitted or a doona cover will all work fine.

(Why not check out an op shop and support a local charity at the same time!)

please note: this activity involves some simple steps that are easy to learn - but it does require the ability grip scissors and a crochet hook firmly and to be able to pull yarn fairly hard through the loops, so if you have hand, arm or should paid or restrictions this may not be the class for you.
