About the Event

Learn the basic skills to get started with crochet - and make a classic granny square

The class will be LIVE & ONLINE so you can watch from home via zoom on a computer or phone screen. Because the class is live you can ask questions and get help and interact with other students so it almost feels like being around the big craft table at Wild Learning.

All you need to get started is a some yarn, a crochet hook and a pair of scissors + your phone or computer to watch the class from!

we recommend:

-Yarn in at least two different colours. Regular, 8 ply yarn that is smooth and doesn't have feathers or lumps is best to learn on

-A crochet hook that is between 3.5 and 5 mm thick. It can be metal, plastic or bamboo

You can buy these supplies at big w, kmart, spotlight, lincraft and discount stores - and quite often you'll fnd friends or relatives have yarn and hooks hidden in their craft baskets they are happy to lend you to start practicing with!

You can order a basic kit from Wild Learning but please be aware that post is very slow, so allow plenty of time for your kit to be delivered.

We believe all craft is best done with a good cup of tea (or a cheeky glass of bubbles) and a treat. So prepare for class by setting up a space to watch the video, open your material kit and get your craft snacks ready!

The zoom meeting will open ten minutes before class begins. If you are joining for the first time come in early to say hello and see how it all works.

The video class is recorded so you can rewatch it later if you need to refresh your memory :)
