About the Event

An after school program for young people aged 10 to 15 years old

A calm, gentle, soothing weekly creative class where young people can come and enjoy learning a range of mindful art & craft making practices. Discover helpful ways to calm a busy mind (relaxation skills) and make cool handmade craft projects at the same time (painting, drawing, collage, fabric and yarn, and polymer clay)

These classes have been specially created for young people who are looking for opportunities to explore new creative activities but prefer classes that are relaxed and calm and allow them to express their own unique ideas.

This program is taught by Wild Learning founder Emmie Hallett who has a background in social and community work, creative education and arts work - and was an awkward, shy and creative young person herself once upon a time!

Students should bring:

  • An apron to protect your clothing - or wear clothes suitable for crafty fun!

This class is suitable for:

Young people aged 10-15 who will enjoy creative activities and learning relaxation techniques- and are happy to sit calmly at a table with other young people and work on their own self paced art projects.

Time: 4:15 - 5:30pm - please aim to arrive five minutes early so we can begin on time
