About the Event
Do you feel a creative craving, but don't even know where to begin?
Art Basics is a one day creative workshop that will introduce you to THREE fun ways to make art and explain common materials, show you step by step techniques and provide loads of helpful advice to get you started.
This is a plain language class- so there is no jargon or pressure to be an amazing artist - this is a safe space to come and LEARN and ask questions!
In this next art basics workshop we will cover:
1. water soluble pastels and watercolour pencils - learn how to make gorgeous floral artworks with pencils that magically transform to paint when you add water!
2. Acrylic paint - learn the basic techniques for working with acrylic paint to get rich glossy colours, or smooth sheer glowing colours while you create a fun mini painting of your favourite creature!
3. Drawing faces - A fun cheats guide to drawing fast faces in a range of wild styles!
A delicious and generous morning and afternoon tea of fresh local fruit and fancy cakes is provided.
There is a 45 minute break for lunch and we suggest you bring a sandwich or visit the cafe next door :)
