Ryshell Hedger creates a soothing, healing and uplifting space at Wild Learning for you to come and explore art therapy activities in a relaxed social group
Abut Therapeutic Art Groups
Art Therapy sessions are a soothing, inspiring, healing and creative activity that is the perfect self care activity for people who live with stress, feel overwhelmed and those who need to recharge their batteries.
Art Therapy doesn't require any artistic ability- it is suitable for all abilities and life experience.
During each session Ryshell will begin with a guided visualisation to help you learn ways to slow down the mind and wake up both your creativity and positive, healing energy.
Ryshell will then invite you to get playful with different art materials in activities that are designed to help you release stress, express emotion, build self awareness and confidence and feel more free! These activities also result in some pretty cool looking artworks too! Ryshell will share a range of therapeutic drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, image technique and story activities.
At the end of the session you will have the opportunity to share what you enjoyed about the process and your art making.
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring an apron to wear during the art making activity. You will need to switch your phone off during the relaxation activity.
